...but better late than never!
Sooo, where to start! Well, we had a chat with the lovely Shaun, and it was most helpfull. More importantly though he disconnected and drained our dodgy radiator to ensure we won't have any more problems with it, touch wood. As i say though we had time for a cuppa and a chat after and showed him a few of the radiators i'd been looking at online to get his opinion. I must admit i was a little surprised to hear him say that his top pick of them would be one of the electric radiators i'd been eyeing up. Not what i'd expect to hear from a plumber! However, he did have some bad news, in that likelihood is it would cost a fortune to bring out current plumbing up to the point where a nest like system would be able to efficiently keep us warm. Which kinda sucks, but it's something we expected from the start so we do have a few coins set aside for it. Oh well, i quite like the idea of being all electric, hopefully once renewable energy becomes our #1 source the price will be a lot cheaper too. Sooooo, i have the go ahead to pick our new radiator, i'm almost giddy with power!

AuthorWell hello there, just wanted to get a little something up about me on my shiny new corner of the web. It's here that i hope to document our trials and tribulations as we go about renovating our new place. Some of you will probably know, but with plans to start a family in the coming years we decided we just need a bigger place. I loved our old one but it's fair to say it's not exactly the best place to raise a family. So fast forward 7 months and here we are. Almost a full house to renovate on a small budget, it's going to be tricky but i'm always up for a challenge! Archives |
